MIGHTYLINE TAPE INSTALLATION GUIDE
MIGHTYLINE IS EASY TO INSTALL! JUST PEEL AND STICK!

MightyLine's high strength, double-coated tape features a removable pressure sensitive adhesive which offers an immediate quick stick application, yet allows for easy removal without leaving a residue.

  1. CLEAN:

You must ensure that the surface is smoothcleanfree of dust, and dry before laying the tape.

Do not lay over existing tape or old painted lines.

  1. PEEL & STICK:

After marking out where the tape is to go, lay the tape down as shown in our install video.

Adhesive backing must not be pulled off before laying the tape down.  This reduces the risk of dust getting between the surface and adhesive.

  1. CUT:

Overlap the tape at each corner, then mitre the corners as shown using scissors or a craft knife and ruler.

  1. APPLY:

Again, press down on the tape before exposing it to routine traffic.  A good way to do this is to walk down the line and then drive a forklift down it.

  1. USE

Your safety and/or organisational lines are in place and ready to go! Easy!

MIGHTYLINE TAPE REMOVAL GUIDE

MightyLine floor tape is known for its durability and adhesive strength, making it a popular choice for marking floors in various industrial and commercial settings. When it comes to removing MightyLine floor tape, following the correct process ensures that the tape comes off cleanly without leaving behind residue or damaging the floor surface. Here's a step-by-step guide for removing MightyLine floor tape:

  1. Prepare the area: Clear the floor of any obstacles or debris to create a safe and accessible work area.

  2. Test a small area: Before removing the entire tape, test a small section to see how it responds to the removal process. This will help you determine the best approach and avoid any potential damage.

  3. Heat application (optional): If the MightyLine floor tape has been in place for a long time or has strong adhesive, using heat can make removal easier. You can use a heat gun or a hairdryer on a low heat setting to warm up the tape and soften the adhesive. Be cautious not to overheat the tape or the floor.

  4. Begin the removal process: Start by carefully lifting one corner of the MightyLine tape using a plastic putty knife or a plastic scraper. Using a plastic tool helps prevent scratching or damaging the floor surface.

  5. Peel the tape off: Slowly peel the tape off in the direction of the floor markings, applying steady and gentle pressure. Try to keep the tape at a low angle to the floor to minimize the chances of it breaking.

  6. Use adhesive remover (if necessary): If the MightyLine tape leaves behind adhesive residue or is challenging to remove, you can use a commercial adhesive remover specifically designed for this purpose. Apply a small amount of adhesive remover to a clean cloth and gently rub the residue until it dissolves.

  7. Clean the area: After removing the MightyLine tape and any adhesive residue, clean the floor thoroughly with a mild detergent or floor cleaner. This will help remove any remaining residue and leave the floor surface clean and ready for any new markings or applications.

  8. Rinse the floor (if necessary): Depending on the type of cleaner used, you might need to rinse the floor with water to remove any cleaning product residue.

Important Tips:

  • Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the adhesive remover, if using one, and test it on a small inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire floor.

  • Take caution not to use sharp metal tools or abrasive materials that could damage the floor surface.

  • If you are uncertain about removing the MightyLine floor tape yourself or if it's proving difficult, consider seeking assistance from professionals experienced in floor tape removal.

Following this guide should help you remove MightyLine floor tape effectively, leaving the floor surface clean and ready for any new markings or applications.
